My clips turned one today. It is also my brother's birthday. I am having a little party tomorrow to celebrate the clips part. Even though no one knows that is why I have invited them. (Some of them don't even know I'm fixed). Looking back, the experience was pretty gruelling for me. And now that I'm a year older, I can say without hesitation ( Read more... )

they are little clips that clamp my fallopian tubes shut. :)

Does that make the process reversible?

Do you still have periods?

Was this something you choose or something that was highly recommended?

I chose it. Well, not the clips specifically, but to have a tubal. It is not reversible, which I think is the greatest thing ever.
I still have those terrible things, but I'm going to talk with my lady parts doctor about the possibility of an endometrial ablation (sp?). This is a procedure where the doctor basically burns out the lining of your uterus. I kind of wish I'd looked into it more seriously when I was going ahead with the tubal, but I didn't want anything to get in the way of me being sterile.
