Rating: PG-ish? Some language.
Characters/Pairings: Scott, Ororo, and Scott/Ororo if you want to see it there. That's how I wrote it, but it isn't quite as strong as I set out to make it.

:) I love it! There's the grief, the recognition of the strong friendship between Scott and Ororo (and I really picture a stronger friendship between them than between Ororo and Jean--Scott and Ororo simply have more in common, they understand each other better), and the hope/possibility of the future . . . Only quibble I have is an OOC thing--I honestly don't think Ororo would stay in her room for a week (Scott would, because he would be so crushed that he would lock himself in his mind grieving, not wanting to deal with reality). She's always struck me as the one who would pull herself together to be strong if she has to be, and with Jean gone, I think she'd lose herself in work, if anything, trying to fill the emptiness in the mansion by working harder, being there for the kids, grading papers till late, taking everything on herself that she can . . . y'know? Otherwise I love the fic and YAY to see a Scott/Ororo fic! Thank you so much and Merry Christmas!!!! :D :D :D
