Commentary for 'And I Feel Fine!'

Beneath the cut, more commentary! whysoanimated asked for And I Feel Fine, the holiday gift fic I wrote for the lovely papered, and I was more than happy to oblige!

As happens whenever I read the title of this fic, I will now have The Beatles song from which it takes its name stuck in my head for approximately the next forever. )

fic: arthur/eames, fic, fic: inception, fic commentary

*happppppy sigh*

i loved this fic and i now LOVE this fic plus the deliriously squeal-able commentary. A couple things:

"oops, g2g, getting shot at." that was one of my favorite lines too and now i feel entirely, stupidly self-vindicated ^^;

I LOVE that you had that much backstory for delia. i don't do that nearly enough with my own characters and clearly just need to stop failing at that.

Just this whole fic in general.... you just so amazingly described (at least in my opinion) how absolutely, amazingly, painfully ANNOYING and really just downright bothersome it is to love someone annoying and bothersome. It really is just the biggest, loveliest karmic joke.

And finally- JAMES! That IS a most excellent plan! Cut on the Middle Man and get straight to the Point! Arthur shall/can/will build you a robot!

Hooray, I'm glad you enjoyed it! That was the point of it, after all. :]

I don't think of myself as someone who has wild amounts of back story-- I like to know just enough about those funny little details of peoples' lives that I can sprinkle them around a little, maybe make them seem more real. I've never written a story where an OC played a really major part, so I can get away with that. ;]

I'm glad the frustrations of love came across! That was really the point of the whole fic-- how annoying it is to be in love, ahaha.

wow, I feel like your comments are a fic in and of themselves... they're so humorous and insightful and open such a lovely window into the author's mind... brilliant, thanks for sharing!
