I LOVE this line: slave to some kind of conversational starting gun only she can hear. SO Kelly, and an awesome metaphor. Also love the "ladled sarcasm" line. You have a fantastic way with words. :D

Basically, loved this, despite not having seen the movie. Great job. :D

oh my GOD, this story is so old and I'm so sorry i haven't read it before. It was delightful. So in-character for every single one of the women, and you've characterized Pepper's job (at this point) very well here. I LOVED it.
