Good to see you up and about, and that you are getting your life in order. Being a homeowner is hard work, but ultimately worth it. Make sure you shell out to have the home inspected though, that way any unsuspected surprises won't be that unexpected.
My wife and I bailed out of the sale on the first home we were going to buy due to the inspection bringing up way more problems than we knew about from just the visual tour of the property.
Secondly, if you are using the firefox addon, getting adblocker goes along way to help with the ads on LJ. I don't really see them, and in fact didn't actually know they were using them until you mentioned it in your post.
Thirdly, the Gaming Guardians community is much more active as of late. I'm back to playing over there, as are alot of others. It's actually a pretty cool time to be involved over there, so you just definitely pop in and say hi at least IRC side.
Hey Lawni, it's definitely good to see you again. There were some good times back in the Guardians. It's definitely tempting to try and get back into it again, though I also wonder if I'll just slip out of the picture again like I did last time. It'll be great to hang with you guys again at least.
I stopped using addblocker when I heard a website I frequented was starting to ban people for using it. I wasn't sure if that was livejournal or some other website, but maybe it's worth looking into again, assuming the latest edition of Firefox can even run it.
Recently I've been encountering ads that can't be x'ed out of. While the majority of them are, the ones that aren't are downright frustrating, and usually go on for longer than is necessary.

Hi Ashla. Yeah, it's been a while. I'll probably poke around in Gaming Guardians again more often now that I'm in better condition, though my life is still considerably busier than it was back when I was more active!
You gotta give me your IM or something sometime, so we can chat.
Personally, I feel that if I can get something for free, I'll put up with a few ads on any site, annoying as they might be. I'll use whatever the company lets me use, then sneak out when it becomes like the TV on Idiocracy. I'd say a few more things, but then it might end up with them making this a pay site.

I just x-out the ads. The x is way over to the right, not by the little window.
