The sight of the creature left everybody speechless. Even Jack, who normally had a wisecrack for any occasion, was momentarily dumbfounded. Tsu'ya swallowed, and then stepped forward.
Jack grabbed Daniel's arm. "Does she really think she's going to do this?"
"The Wisewoman said their god wants her to," said Daniel, although now that he saw how much bigger Toruk was than the other flying beasts, he too had his doubts.
"Yeah, well, the Heaven's Gate people drank poisoned Kool-Aid because their god wanted them to," said Jack, "but nobody calls that anything but suicide."
