This was such a horrific ending. I am so sad that they were killed, and sorry that people who you were close with and knew personally were the victims. Your honesty about your conflicts and relationship with them should remind us all that the things that bring us together should be much stronger and much more eternal than the things that divide us.

On a totally unrelated note, I would like to talk to you about Jewish resources for a shomer shabbat/kashrut friend of mine who is being sent by his work to live in japan for 6 weeks. He is a wonderful guy, and is independant/self sufficient but I know that it might be shocking to come to japan as a shomer type of guy. I'd love to introduce him to you, and thought you might have some tips for him.
