Quick, really dumb question for the Brits on my f-list: When reading off a London postcode, do you say the letters ("SW") or the direction ("South West")? When I lived in England, it was in places like NR4 or YO1, so I never really gave this much thought. Plus, Eastenders is set in "E20", not "East 20". Am I wrong?
Anyhow, the reason I ask is because I just auditioned for a play set in London. The other auditionees were saying "Wimbledon, Southwest 19," which a) bugged, and b) had me wondering if maybe I've had it wrong all this time (it's been known to happen...). I was prepared to let it go, but I GOT THE PART (!), so now I have to know.
(It figures. Only I could get "Streatham" right and then fuck up something simple like the postcode...)
