Oh my! Yes, that was indeed me--argh, I can't believe I forgot to sign that comment. :P

I love character studies in general, and this one was pretty awesome. :) I like how in a way, the whole thing is Albert arguing with the lyric("I'm not drowning, and I'm not laughing!").

And I love Albert's take on Cooper, as well--It was just that Cooper's reaction was the opposite of his own: to fight bigotry with justice, madness with faith, rage with love, and then hope to hell that something would stick. Definitely my favorite line right there. Thank you!

Thank you! I haven't got much experience in writing drabbles, so it's still a bit of a struggle coming up with a theme or thought or conversation that could fit into a few hundred words. Also, in all honesty, that was a helluva tough prompt you left me! :) But I'm glad you liked the result.

And yeah, I'm pretty sure Albert would argue with anyone or anything when it comes to dodging claims about insecurity or inability to cope. That's our Albert through and through. ;)

Oof--sorry the prompt was difficult; it just popped into my head as I was writing (It's actually from a song called "Roses Blue," if you can believe it).

And yeah, that is Albert all over. :)
