Site of the Month is a treasured part of Amassment, and it's all thanks to YOU! Members are the ones who nominate sites, and members are the ones who choose the winners. And now, you're needed to contribute to this fun tradition. This is a call for volunteers to pick SOTM.
Here are three reasons why you should volunteer:
1. Minimal time commitment with big impact! Even the busiest people can volunteer. All that is needed is that you're online in the middle of the month to pick a selection from the list I email to you. Choose a winner, post it, and feel good about yourself.
2. You can help make someone happy! Some shrine makers spend hours, days, and years making a great fandom resource.. but most visitors lurk silently and don't vocalize their appreciation directly. When you choose a winning SOTM, you're reminding them that hard work is loved.
3. Benefits come to you in unexpected ways! When you volunteer, people notice you at the beginning and middle of the month. If you feel too shy to talk in discussion or too busy to do marathons, this is an easy way to break the ice and feel connected again.
