After prop 8 passed, I've been wondering how gay people really feel above the whole marriage vs. domestic partnership thing (well, now I know how ursajmajor feels because I just read his journal. 5 years. Most people consider 5 years an important milestone for several things: your job, where you live, kids (1st day at school), etc, but all of those pale in comparison to having reached the milestone of 5 years with another person.
