It may not be right, it may not be smart…but they’re going to try. And they can do anything, as long as they’re together.

“There’s nothing I’d rather do than stay here and help you have your baby,” Robin said. )

Hey, I've already done that story! This kid grows up to get with Damian, after she's kicked his ass a few times and pounded some sense and civility into his head. :P

Seriously? Where is this story? I wanna read it, because I am a sucker for anything involving Damien. (Yes, I know it's spelled with an "a," but I have French roots and I like the "e" spelling better.)

No, no, no... I haven't written anything involving Damian (I prefer the spelling which isn't the same as the one used by the Devil), I wrote Steph's baby being Terry McGinnis's mother. In this story, I'm just saying that the Damian/Baby Girl Brown thing happens in the future, but I'm not actually writing it.

Well, being teen parents probably isn't the smartest thing in the world, but the two of them are smart and responsible enough to manage it, I think.

I needed some Tim/Steph and that was perfect.

I just . . . the whole thing with Steph and her baby was written so badly in canon. I really want to read this AU--or at least, some shortened version of this AU. Including the part where she kicks Damien's ass. ;) Yay for fic.

In my canon, Steph's baby could kick Damien's ass. :) And I don't think it was a bad decision on Steph's part to give the baby up for adoption; I think the way Robin acted with the whole 'babies need two parents thing' was way preachy, though possibly in character for Tim Drake, who didn't even have one around who cared most of the time.
