AU from before Journey’s End. The Doctor and Rose ring in the New Year in somewhat domestic style.

( The cheers rang out over the streets of New New New New New New New New New New New New New New New Times Square in New New New New New New New New New New New New New New New York in the year five billion (quite possibly the greatest, most fantastic such event in the history of the universe - at least in the Doctor’s humble opinion). )

Yes. It would have been nice if the show had acknowledged that Rose had changed and grown. She was working for Torchwood, for goodness sakes!

I like how you write them here, though -- old friends back together, but each seeing how the other has changed. And still cute together :) Nice!

I like to think I portrayed them as a bit more than friends, but thier friendship is the basis of thier relationship - 'Happiness is being married to your best friend', after all. Thank you for the kind words!

I'm pretty sure you could use it, if you credit the creator. I find it useful for many different fics. :)
