Jason ends up falling into leadership of his own team. They aren’t Titans, but they are young, and just them.

( Jason doesn’t really know why he does it, but he keeps an ear out for reports of other teen heroes, ones unaffiliated with the Titans. )

YAY.

Jason running a team of the between-generation underdogs! I love it! And maybe it'll distract him from wondering who his Mom is... Anyway, it's a very Jason thing to do to accidently make a team.

I found myself annoyed for about two seconds that he stole Tim's team's name, but then I was like, wait, what if then Tim followed Jay's footsteps in this verse and YJ as we know it is YJ v2 and . . . yeah, my brain went a bunch of fun places. I love anything where the underdogs get to be their own heroes, and this is a very weird, very nineties kind of team. I like it a lot.

Tim, Bart, and Kon never intended to call themselves Young Justice. It was 'that TV guy' Ace Atchinson, who dubbed them that.

And it's entirely possible Tim and his brood ended up joining the Titans straightaway here, or forming the Junior (Justice) League.

I bet leading a team could have been the one thing to bring Jay around. He really needs, and needed, to know that he's trusted.

Wow, cool. Maybe Jason would have been less...dead if he had more friends.

Also, out of curiosity, is this written for youngjustice's challenge?
