Enjoyed how you made parallels with Harry's experience with the Sorting Hat. Those two were more alike than either realized (at least at first). Am loving all this Lily/Snape!

Thanks! I'm really glad you're enjoying these fics. I'm just lucky I got all those Snape requests for inspiration, otherwise I may have never written them.

When I read that flashback scene in DH where Dumbledore tells Snape he thinks they Sort too early, and the way Snape was stricken, it just made me think he Sorting Hat had to have almost put him in Gryffindor the same way it almost put Harry in Slytherin. And it is fun to bring out the parallels between characters. I love the way JKR put all those parallels between Harry and Snape and Voldemort. I really believe Snape is the personification of what Harry could have been like had he chosen Slytherin.

Oh my yes. And in HBP, the visions reminded me of all the times that Harry was scorned. Maybe that wasn't subtle, but you know. Snape and Lily's story is a sweet one though - best friends and, according to JKR's interview, could have been in love had Snape not taken the wrong path.
