Alistair in Wonderland: A Genderbending Story--Chapter 3

Alistair, naked as a jaybird but for the sea of his own blue jacket modestly swept around his waist, could see nothing of the events taking place outside the teapot.  However, he could piece them together well enough by sound and dialogue alone.  Judging by the increasing clamor of armor, for example, he guessed a division of soldiers-more than ( Read more... )

Hey-ho! Lookie, i went and got myself an LJ after all! I also added you as a friend :) I've gotta say, when I first read "Tarrantella", I immediately read it as "Tarantula" lmao. But I'm really liking the story so far. It's nice that you aren't following the movie line by line, but really re-working it completely to fit the gender-bended aspect. Very cool. And Lady Stayne?! so frickin awesome!! I just bought my copy today and watched it, so the image of Lady!Stane is now superimposing itself over Normal!Stayne. lol. anywhooo....enough of my mad ramblings ;) great job, I'm loving it so far!!

Like, if I decide to combine the scene of the Knave hitting on Alice with the scene of Alice returning the Hatter's hat, then that adds the new and highly amusing factor of Tarrant getting really mad and jealous but can't act on his emotions lest he land himself back in jail. The complication, though, is that it messes up how the Red Queen finds out about Alice and Stayne getting cozy in the hallway, and that scenario is important because the Queen's rage is important for showing her insecurity and making her a sympathetic character. Trying to find a way to get the best from both ideas without losing anything is a fun brainteaser and writing challenge. I just hope I can pull it off believably ( ... )
