Yaaay!  I have over 1000 words for each essay written!!!  I will bump them up to 1500 words apiece once there and after visiting Hull and seeing Great Expectations, but that should be easy peezy, and all I have left to do is write up one more bibliography, go through and cite that same paper, and then come up with my handout thingamajigs.  I think ( Read more... )

Haha, I was TOTALLY the ugly one in Hawai'i last Centre term! Trust me, even if you end up the ugly one (which I know for a fact isn't possible, you gorgeous, gorgeous woman you!), no one will care. Just make sure you're warm and safe! I'd be sad if you got sick or hurt. I hope you have tons of fun! Good luck with the rest of your prep. <3

Are our essays supposed to be that detailed? I was under the impression they were pretty informal... just a lengthy sit-down with the composition book one rainy night.

Hell, I dunno. I'm not a big theatre person, so I just tried to look like I put work into it. Both my bibliographies are fairly long: for the Great Expectations one I used my Norton Edition's awesome resources in the back, and that was it for that one (except for a list of stage, film, and TV productions on Wiki), and for my cultural paper on Hull, I couldn't find any one website with a shit ton of info, so I had to draw from several smallish ones.

The last 500 words or so will be exactly what you talked about: just a sit-down with my composition book, and I'll probably use that portion to talk about my impressions and thoughts on the topic after the experience of it.
