Tradicional Art

Jun 09, 2008 21:51

These are my attempts at tradicional colouring. Using tradicional media is so difficult for me... oh the wonders of layers! I hope these aren't too bad, though.

Characters: Edward, Bella and Jacob.
Fandom: Twilight
Notes: I drew this sometime last year after reading Eclipse. Is that Bella on her wedding dress?

OMGGGGGGGG these are so gorgeous, Amanda. I love the first and second ones especially..here's hoping Bella is a runaway bride in BD...the first one is haunting and the facial expressions on Bella and Edward's faces and Jacob howling afslgsgalfs are just fantastic. And the one of Bella is gorgeous..she looks so peaceful and happy. <3

And I am in love with the second one. The coloring, how the girls' facial expressions are so unique yet so them...and I'm not making any sense, am I?

Fantastic job, hon. :)

You're making a lot of sense! I'm really happy you liked the drawings! And everytime I look at the girls' drawing I think of you ;)

Those are all very well done. I've only read Twilight and some of the next book, but that first one is very nicely laid out. I also like how the picture of the girls shows four very different personalities in their expressions.

I'm happy I could express their personalities through their faces.

Did you like the Twilight book?

It was OK to me. I didn't much care for Bella as a character and it really annoyed me at the end of the book that the author let the one character's point of view totally limit the most action-packed sequence in the whole book. And when I got to a certain point in the next book, I just gave up--couldn't take the blackest angst anymore.

Now that you mention it, you're right. Maybe the author doesn't know how to write action sequences very well and took advantage of the POV used..?
