I am 100% positive about the whole thing. No misgivings at all, and that's without even going into just how much I'm satisfied by that resolution. I'd tell you more, but a)I'm trying to get my hyper brain to shut down long enough to let me get to sleep, and b)if I did, there's an excellent chance someone else on your flist would come along and read it and jump all over me. And that I could NOT handle. /:<

Plus, everyone who doesn't like Doctor/Rose is gonna hate those of us who do, because she's the one person, out of all of those companions he's had, who has her very own DoctorCopy. I just kept thinking, "They're gonna hate us."Yeah, I wouldn't worry about that. Seriously. There's absolutely no force in the entire universe, or probably a whole series of parallel universes for that matter, that could possibly inspire them to hate us more than they already do. The hatred out there is so massive and virulent that there's literally nothing that could make it worse. Actually, some of the worst of the Rose-haters seem to be just a touch ( ... )

I realize that was the happiest ending they could give us. Rose had to leave again, and she couldn't have "the" Doctor without us losing him too. There are just some layers of weird there that I can't quite figure out just yet.

I know that a lot of very smart and insightful people, including you, are not holding on to those last little misgivings that I'm still narrowing my eyes at, though, so I think it was a successful conclusion that the show presented.

And for the record, if ANYONE ever replies to a comment on my journal that goes even a toe further forward than good-natured "agree to disagree" stuff, you can rest assured that it will be made clear that sort of unnecessary nastiness is unwelcome here. I have no issues with people disagreeing, but I do have issues with people being unpleasant about it. :)

(Gee, not that the DW fandom knows anything about THAT. This is why I'm so freaking careful about the comms I read. I hear about the negativity, but I see very little of it, thankfully.)

Doomsday, as sad as it was, was an ending. The end of JE is not. Go back and look at the expression on Rose and the Other Ten's face after the TARDIS leaves. Many shippers are happy that Rose has a Doctor, but I am not so sure that Rose is happy. And poor copy!Ten. He's new and confused and human, blast it. And no Tardis. I have the best of hopes for them, but I'm afraid that there will be no happy ending there. At the very least, they have a heck of a lot to work through.
