Oh! So very sad, but in a way it just fit. Lovely story.

I agree, it must have been horrible for the Doctor. I was really trying to stick to Martha and Rose's POVs, which made it hard to show what the Doctor goes through at the end.

I'm glad you took the time to comment, and I hope you enjoyed the story overall. Thank you for reading!

I'm not sure I can say anything here, really, but... well, I'm one of those who was hoping for a different ending. I was so much enjoying this story, despite the elements I'd pointed to along the way (and now, of course, I know why they don't matter).

You say you can't bear to watch Doomsday again. For the same reason, I won't be able to read this story again, because I was liking it so much and now - well, much as I love angst, I need happy endings. Honestly? I wish I hadn't read this final chapter. Sorry, but I'd rather give you my reaction than say nothing, since I have been commenting rather vocally on the last few chapters!

Well, obviously if I can't watch Doomsday again, you know I must understand your point of view on this one. Thanks for reading, though, and taking the time to share your thoughts. I really appreciated it.

Oh, this was lovely all the way to the end. Even though Rose had to go in the end (as I suspected would have to happen) the interlude was gorgeous and I just ache for the Doctor.

I just hope that someday, somewhere along the line, he gets some happiness in his life. Because, for now, it's been nothing but loss. *hugs the Doctor*

As for Rose, it hurt to know that after all that, she forgets it all, even though that might be considered to be for the best. She'll never know that she had those days with the Doctor. But the question is, what's worse? To have loved, truly loved, and lost or to have never remembered it at all?

I'm not sure which would be worse, remembering or forgetting what happened, if you were Rose. Part of her had an inkling, but she thought it had been a dream. I like to think she'd have a little bit easier time moving on after this, with some part of her knowing what had happened, and that there really just is no way back for her.

I really, really appreciate your feedback during the posting of this story. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment.

Yes, it was sad, but it was also lovely, and sometimes you just have to go with the path the story has taken. Thank you for sharing!
