I get that. I think that's the problem a lot of people have with it. Not enough of an explanation. But I really enjoyed how much of the mythology was left up to the interpretation of the viewers. But, you know, I like being able to speculate about things like that too.
But I do agree about the Shannon and Sayid thing. That relationship in general was strange to me, and then to have them be reunited like that was odd. I think the connection between the two characters was brought about more because Maggie and Naveen became really good friends while shooting early on in the show, and the writers wanted to use the chemistry they thought was there as a way to redeem Shannon.
