So I went to Anime North last weekend, for the first time in maybe four years. Five years? I'm not sure exactly, but it's been awhile, and I can't be fussed to work it out exactly right now. Anyway, I'm sad to say it was kind of disappointing. No fault of the con itself, but because of people, both other people and myself. *sigh

I completely missed this post when you posted it (sorry!!).

I wish I had known you were going - my friends bailed on me this year, so I spent a lot of time wandering around by myself and chatting with random strangers. I was probably only in cosplay for about four hours the whole weekend this time.

You should definitely come again next year! We'll hang out! Great times will be had!

Also - own hotel room? DEFINITELY the way to go!! I've been doing it for years, and it's absolutely worth it.
