I'm also tickled by the fact that, every time he's been referred to as "my son," of course he thought I was referring to the ... celestial ... sun. It's so funny to try to deconstruct their thought processes.

I couldn't believe he remembered that song! It kind of fell out of favor as part of the bedtime routine because, when he was going through a sleep-resistant phase around age 2, everytime I would start in on it, he would scream, "Noooo! Noooo! Stop singing!" (because it meant that getting him to go to sleep was on my agenda).

So I'm glad some favorable impression stayed with him :-)
