this is hi-damn-larious. i suggest you tell this story to someone when he is a teenager to enjoy the maximum obligatory parental embarassment factor! haha.

also, i have never heard a story that emphasized any pug's intelligence. cuteness, silliness, yes, but NEVER intelligence. take that as you will.

ahahhaah good times. I think every kid should know how to pee outside. I taught reza how to hop a squat and girl is an effin pro at it... now, the peeing in the backyard I could have done without but she sees the dog do it, thinks she can too.

pugs are nasty

I love pugs, however I did not know they had a reputation as shiteaters.

Also, as someone who is childfree but not stridently so, this is going to give me an entire weeks worth of humor, but not bitching fodder. Oh god, I'm crying at work this is so funny.

I seriously put it behind a cut because I was afraid cf_hardcore was going to somehow pick up on it and lambast me. Of course, these are the same folks who are like, to cite a recent example by horror_romance, "Why are their so many kids at Disneyland? Waaah!"

Oh, dear.

I wonder how many folks like that are animal lovers/pet owners. Like, do they just hate all creatures that behave unpredictably, make noise, and cannot care for themselves, or is it just little humans?

Oh, no. They almost inevitably love all animals. "Furbabies" 1!!111! They're just "squicked" by little humans and, more often, the parents who choose to procreate.

I've run into a few who -- hopefully just to defend the depth of their conviction -- will go so far as to say that they are offended by the existence of adults with physical and/or cognitive disabilities who can't feed/dress/toilet themselves or independently monitor their behavior ... if the disability was incurred in utero or as the result of a traumatic birth. This probably holds true for genetically-transmitted disabilties that do not produce the above-mentioned effects until adulthood, too. Luckily, though, this is a small minority. Or I can assume so based on the number who are actually vocal about it :-/
