Figures compiled by the Fawcett Society also found Britain's employees work the longest hours of all those in developed nations, with men working longer days than women on average.

Well that sucks. I'd much rather work less hours if I had the choice!

The same is true of women's salaries here, although I think negotiation is only a part of it. A manager I know defended his pay of an employee (which was $30,000 above the going rate) by saying he had a wife and two kids to support. And what the hell are the rest of us doing? Working for fun???

Eugh, it's just stupid. But of course women must only be working for fun or something. We couldn't possibly need it to earn money to actually be able to live a life. Or to also support our family, especially in times like these when everything is more expensive.

If I was working for fun, I'm not sure we'd actually be able to call it work ;-)

The professional organisation says females are "shyer" and "less agressive" about their salaries.

They also seem to have spelling issues...
