Am I ever lucky? Am I ever blessed? Am I ever rich in this life... And not rich in any monetary sense (because that's so far from the truth), but rich in love, and relationships. Wow.

Of all the many positive things Eva did for me in my life, the lessons she taught me about living and love will be with me for the rest of my existence, and for that I ( Read more... )

Hello,

I stumbled upon your blog through reading my friend Eva's blog. Just curious as to how you knew her. I went to University with her and we were extremely close friends until I moved away after third year.

How did you know her?

Honestly, I first "met" Eva watching her documentary back in February, with my boyfriend Tim. Tim has Cystic Fibrosis, and had his double lung transplant in November of 2007... I work at an elementary school, and I spoke to all the classes at my school Grade 2-8 about CF, and about Eva's story, and how she was in the hospital at that time. All of the students I spoke to drew her a picture, wrote her a letter, or made her a card, which I sent to Eva in the hospital for her walls of love. Since "meeting" Eva, I also joined the CCFF chapter where I live, started a team in the Great Strides Walk, and joined the planning committee. I've started public speaking about CF and about organ donation, and the impact they've both had on my life. She touched my life, and changed me forever, without ever having met her... I hope that doesn't sound strange to you, being that you actually knew her in person, LoL. Although I'm sure you knew what an amazing spirit Eva had, I doubt it surprises you that she has changed my life without ever having met in ( ... )

Nice to meet you too.

I know a lot of people know Eva through her blog. It's weird, because I only know her from knowing her in person (that was awkwardly worded haha).

I'm glad she had a chance to share her voice via her blog and film, I remember she was really frustrated for awhile with the Theatre Program we were both in.

We had great memories, and I really loved her. I miss her a lot. Nice to know people carry on her memory.

What's amazing, is I'm not the only one... I'm one of thousands (probably tens of thousands) of people who wish to carry on Eva's legacy, and love her, despite never meeting her. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend... It feels like a loss to the world. Thanks for the add, and I look forward to getting to know you better! :D
