Actually I have never seen Highlander but know of it because other people have written crossovers with Torchwood before.

Well it doesn't. Compared to the first doctor, they're all crazy mccrazypants!

Don't know HL at all (saving your presence, love), but I can still relish the idea of Jack searching out other immortals (and naturally, fucking as many as possible in process), especially once his Doctor-hopes go pear-shaped. This is vivid and achy and the ending is pretty spectacular.

"Ah yes, the Doctor, and his big blue box," Methos said, sighing, and Jack's eyes flew open. "A wonder it doesn't collapse with the weight of its own symbolism."

Well, that says it all, doesn't it.

Methos is such a know it all and yet not. He's just a dude, and then every once in a while he pulls a gem from his pretty floral bonnet.

Also, he's hott.

I'm glad it was follow-able, even w/o HL prereq. You and TGG2 seem to have got it okay. Yay!

I only ever saw the first Highlander movie, and I still loved this story. It's fantastic. My favorite part was actually the beheading. That was so badass! I could imagine it on film quite vividly.
