My local pub, as in I can see it from my window, says it has over 200 different types of beer. They have a menu categorised by country and everything. It's sort of neat although they do get the number up by only having a few bottles of each one usually so they may be out for the evening of the type you pick. Good fun though.

I should probably go there more often but it's small and gets crowded easily. I also prefer ales on tap and they don't really have lots of those. Still the density of pubs around here is ridiculous.

Anyway sounds like you had a lot of fun, bleeding all over the floor notwithstanding

Haahahah i love tap much better than bottles, too. I loled the other day when I was in DC, because this IndIan restaurant has a "Beers of the world" list, and it had six beers, and one of the places they listed was "Pennsylvania'. LOL domestic BEER OF THE WORLD.

I am drinking, even as I type, a kriek, which is a Belgian lambic made with cherries. It is not sweet. For someone who grew up in a part of the USA where people put tomato juice and salt in their lager (often at the same time), it is pretty damn' sophisticated.

Lambic is this very cool variety of beer that, instead of being made with cultivated brewer's yeast, is just left out in the air in a particular valley in Belgium where wild, possibly alien yeast spores land on it.

Presumably they strain it before serving.

I'm envisaging Amand-r with Pippi Longstocking braids and loling. Nice pix!
