well...I don't like One Piece, and I've never seen Naruto so I can't really comment about that aspect of your per-say....but damn, that's immature as hell for a 21 year old to get so worked up about a damn japanese cartoon that she needs to wave the ban stick at you.

yeah I've always believed that people are entitled to thier opinion no matter how wrong it is, but in this case I was seriously pissed. mostly the way she was like "i'm bored with you. *ban*" I mean its her music log or whatever but with music as with everything else there is bound to be some opinions and I don't think personal feelings should get in the way of moderation.

People let fandom get to thier heads. :/ As much as I love anime I'd never defend it to the death like it was my firstborn child or anything.

naruto comic is awesome. naruto anime varies from episode to episode (which can range from great to vomit-inducing).

one piece comic is also awesome but i like naruto more cause i have a thing for ninjas. never seen the anime version.

and this person is just immature and silly :/ i guess it's true what they say about arguing on the internet.

i don't like arguing at all, nor do i feel like i was. i was trying to be as polite as possible even though she was jamming her opinion in my craw. if you argue with me in person i lose my "voice" and freeze up. on the internet its the same, i just end up getting bashed until they're tired of rubbing my face into the dirt.

one piece's anime is awesome unless its a filler episode, i'm particular to manga in general since the art is more detailed and the story is as well. i don't like naruto, i like ninjas and pirate equally but i loathe naruto.

i honestly don't care if you like the same things as i do, i mean i'm sure we have enough and common to keep things civil anyway. also if everyone liked the same things wouldn't it be boring? i like having friends that have different opinions as me.

thats always better than making enemies with people with different opinions than me anyway.

for sure. having people around with different viewpoints and preferences is what make having people around so interesting :]

though i don't mind debating once in awhile, especially about films or design. there has been some heated debates in those topics.

i hate arguing/debating when the basis is personal opinion and not fact.

little known fact: in middle school i was in the debate club -_-

i'm afraid to debate about things i don't feel i know enough about, i might call my self a designer but as for other designers i don't look at thier work, i try not to be influenced and i try to do my own thing.. but maybe thats putting myself into a box. i wonder how other people design as in knowing thier fellow designers or "sizing up competition" or what not. if you're not busy you should tell me your inner workings sometime.
