As promised, here's the update on our trip to Canada. I was going to post this yesterday but I had soooo much stuff to take care of that time just got away from me
( Read more... )
Next time, go to Canada with a towel wrapped around your head. See what the officials do, then. (Actually, they'd probably be too stupid to know what it meant.)
LMFAO! I just about spewed my drink when I read your response. Funny thing about the border crossing...I almost spoke in French to that bitch. That really would have thrown a monkey-wrench into the ordeal.
I guess it wouldn't be a road trip without the bickering! I can picture Rick crawling into the back seat! I would also vote for flying up sans-kids! It sounds like you had a great time!
hahaha!! I have never heard that one before, the rats fucking in a wool sock..:).........funny.....Well, sounds like other than the long haul in the car things were good for the most part. That is neat that everyone is bilingual like that. By the way, so does most of your family live up there? How was it you ended up here? Im kinda new to your journal. I know somethings about your background that you shared shortly after I added you (the very brave post about your struggles) But, I dont think I know how it was that you ended up here and your family is in Canada. Sounds like that party she threw you was awesome. Hey did ya get any pics of the decor stuff? It sounded pretty neat...............T
My mom married a French Canadian guy when I was about 8-9 years old. Naturally, we moved up there. I stayed until I finished high school then moved to Ga where my dad lives. My mom lives in Ontario and my sis is still in Quebec.
I'm pretty sure I took some pics of the back deck and bar, but I seem to have misplaced my camera. I hope I didn't leave it at my sis's house.
Haha, leaving the kids home sounds like a spectacular idea.
The customs story was quite hilarious. It wasn't that bad when we went in 2002. They just looked at our IDs and looked at my birth certificate card, and that was that. You had a rough end of it!

I'm glad ya had fun.
We're sitting up here in 100º temps this week. :0) Kinda unusual for this area. It's usually in the 80º-90º range, and humid as hell.

It's hot as hell here too. As some southerners like to say: "It's hotter than two rats fuckin in a wool sock."
