I was all set to post about how we are having our basement finished, pics and all. But then, Megan decided to blame me for how bored she is because I refused to drive her and her friend anywhere this evening. Apparently, it's all my fault, and I'm a bitch to boot ( Read more... )

you're preaching to the choir, sister...

i have sworn i've heard that adjective come out of my daughter's mouth, but she is smart enough to not let me really hear it...

Wow, I have no kids, so it's hard to relate.

But I suddenly have more respect for my mom, because she did all this during the summer, somehow, while still working 8 - 5.

Yay for all the super-moms of the world!!!

My sister-in-law's answer to the "I'm bored" statement was manual labor. Something always needs cleaning or tending to... Ya know, the toilets need scrubbing, the floor always needs sweeping or vacuuming, and the dog crap needs to be picked up in the backyard, etc... I tried it and it worked. Hehehehe... They quit saying "I'm bored" pretty quick.

I do that too sometimes. In fact, tomorrow my yard is getting mowed, and not by me haha.

I shouldn't laugh since you were sad when writing this; however, I am feeling your pain in the worst way! Ali is the same. Susan is supposed to be with her constantly and when I say no then they think I am mad at one or the other, which sometimes I am, but that's not usually the case. Ali eats like she is a teenaged boy and even though I just went shopping on Sunday and got 4 lbs of grapes and 2 pints of grape tomates, 2 bags of cherry tomatoes and 6 romas as well as 4 cucumbers, etc. All of the aforementioned have been eaten already. As has the pringles and the cheeze-its. And God forbid she have nothing to do. All I've heard is how I want to keep her locked in the house all the time!

I only wish Meg would eat that healthily. She turns her nose up at the mere mention of veggies. Then she bitches because of the lack of junk food. AAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!

Trust me...those are about all Ali will eat in the way of good things. I made a pasta the other night w/ red and yellow bell peppers, turkey strips, broccoli, asparagus, mushrooms and ummm...I don't think there was anything else...anyway...all she ate was the pasta! And she is always bitching about the lack of junk food...especially since I quit buying pop!

OH! And we did salad for dinner the other night. I cut up tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, yellow squash, shrooms, maybe had some blueberries in there somewhere and some asiago cheese. She only took the salad and some tomatoes and cucumbers. That's it.
