Yeah, the art's a little wack. And also, Scully's boobs in this one are a little OOC. However, if I can be very loserish, I should admit that I...read comics. As in, read the words. I don't spend a lot of energy on the images. I can appreciate a well-composed shot, but I'm so distracted by the fact That There Are Words that I totally ignore them
I love when Mulder gets antagonistic with other agents! I don't know why, but I do...
Oh, yes indeed. As I read the dialogue, it's basically Mulder snarking and the other guy going all FRENCHY SMASH, which is THE BEST THING EVER as far as I'm concerned.
I sadly can't help regarding comics shops in your area (hell, I live in the city that hosts Comic-Con, and we no longer even HAVE any), but I can at least vouch for Forbidden Planet. I've ordered a few issues from them in the past, and it's always worked out great.
Yeah, I figure they're a reasonable last resort. I'm going to be passing near an indie store next Wednesday, I think, so I guess I'll poke my head in and ask if they're planning on ordering it and bring a lot of cash in case they have things I must have. Or, hmm, I wonder if my local indie bookstore knows how to order comics? I'll ask if we go Sunday.
Really, SD doesn't have a comic store? That's sad. :(
I know, right? It's like all sorts of win. I hear the comics they came out with shortly after IWTB were pretty good, too. I SMELL A SHOPPING SPREEEEEEEEEE.
Ha, I love the shot of everyone else staring at him after Mulder comes out with Weirdly In-Depth Trivia. And that he manages to snark someone into trying to punch him in about a page.
I suppose it can't hurt to just pop into a nearby shop and ask if they could order you a copy? I don't really know; mainly I only waste my money on buy manga and that comes in sexy graphic novel formats.
Yeah, I'll drop by the one in the neighborhood where I do my research when I'm down there next week. If they're not getting it, then I'll probably just go with Forbidden Planet or something. Sigh.
I love sexy graphic novel format! I just read Marvel 1602, and also have a alternate-universe Superman (where he landed in Soviet Russia, not Kansas) out from the library right now. I WOULD LIKE MORE OF THESE, PLEASE.
