Imagine that a person were about to post a story in an ongoing universe. The story's title itself is spoilery for the end of the previous story, which many people have not yet finished. There will be future stories in this universe.

If the subject is really, REALLY that spoilery, then perhaps use a spoiler bar, but as long as you put the story itself under an lj-cut and warn for spoilers... you should be all set. :)

As long as the stories aren't coming out back to back (and I assume they're not) who the hell cares? I get it that people don't want to be spoiled, but no need to go to extraordinary lengths to conceal such things. If people are that sensitive they should learn other ways of coping.

Oh, and I already have too many communities and don't like more clutter. Ultimately it's whatever the author is most comfortable with. It's HER story.

Some HTML works in the subject area, other HTML doesn't. It's hit or miss. I say either of the first two options is best.
