Yuletide Recs List (#1 of ?)

Dec 26, 2012 22:15

It's Yuletide, everybody! Hooray! I think which story I wrote is painfully obvious if you stumble over it, but I don't know if any of you know the canon, so, maybe you won't discover it.

In any case, I received a fabulous story:

Padded Rooms and Stiletto Heels (1006 words) by Anonymous
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Revenge (TV)Rating: General ( Read more... )

recs, hhgg, caprica, yuletide, dollhouse, sherlock

I was going to ask if you needed to be familiar with the Millennium Trilogy at all. Because I'm not.

I'm not that familiar with them (never finished first book, never saw either movie), and I liked it fine! As long as you get the conceit (Lisbeth is a highly pierced queer anti-social hacker genius, Blomkvist is a journalist who has Solved Problems And Saved People, They Fight Crime while fucking), you're good to go.

Nope--as long as you have a vague clue who Lisbeth and Blomkvist are, you're cool. Frankly, I've only read half the first book (gave it up because I got bored/distracted/busy), and I still was able to follow it. I'm sure it's *better* if you know the books/movie, though...

You've gotta admit, it's a brilliant idea. There are tags having sex.

When did you find the time to read all of this (and finish your fringe_exchange fic)? I've read my story and maybe two others.

Because between Christmas morning and 3pm today, I did not leave the house. Except to shovel snow. I had a lot of time for reading. :)
