This is just so lovely. To me, this is a nice glimpse of Dana, something we almost never see. Having her friends around helps to make the idea of Dana really come alive, and drop some of the steely resolve that she wears out of necessity as "Agent Scully." Also, so few writers write "Dana", but you just hit it out of the park.
Oh, and #4 is my favorite, if for nothing else than for the fact that ending it two old girlfriends belly laughing as Mulder walks into the room is just the best non-sexual tease ever.
I love this. It seems as though it should be very hard (if not impossible) to draw such emotionally real relationships in such small pieces, but you've done so wonderfully. It made me laugh and very nearly made me cry, which is a good deal harder. I like the little details that make the friends seem solid and alive- they way they go by different names in different times/contexts, the way Pat checks her email while she's on the phone and struggles for the right thing to say, the things Jessica notices about Mulder. In canon Scully doesn't have any female friends at all, does she, aside from the swiftly vanishing Ellen and Kathy in S1? (In my personal headcanon she and Bambi Berenbaum are Science Girlfriends. I should write about that someday.)
(I also have been wanting to tell you that I am very anxious to watch IWTB not wholly for its own sake, but because I'm really, really looking forward to reading Machines of Freedom.)

Also, we seem to have crazy many mutual friends - care for a new one?
