I've always taken the fact that I live right outside D.C. for granted. But since getting heavy into Philedom, I've come to appreciate it a lot more.
I didn't know that the Gunmen lived in Takoma Park...I was born there! SOOOO cool!

I went to DC for the first time a few years ago for a meeting with a funder. The first day of meetings, I kept staring out the conference room windows at the Hoover Building, almost unable to conceptualize that it was all real, that this was the land that some of my favorite characters inhabited.

The first time I went to DC, I was a very young teenager and I went with my father. This was when the show was still on and at the height of its popularity. I desperately wanted to go on a tour at the Hoover Building, but when we got there, the security guards informed us that the building was closed to visitors today. Talk about disappointment. So we went to the Hard Rock which was near by to eat. When we passed the building after lunch, the security guard called me over, and gave me an imitation FBI badge since he knew I was so disappointed. It made my day :)

When I get lonely down here in DC, I think of them driving down Connecticut Avenue and chasing monsters by the monuments. It makes my life down here that much better.
