Charles laughed a bit, the sound choked with unexpected emotion closing up his throat. He still couldn't quite believe that he was here, with Erik standing in front of him, a life of that they had led--exciting and dangerous--burning brightly in his mind. Part of him was saddened had he'd missed all of it

They'd managed to get themselves settled in the library, Charles noting that it seemed to be the only place with life in the whole place. He was burning with more questions, things he wanted to simply each out and understand, but he held himself in check. The Doctor hovered about, with a look of someone that was trapped between the fight or flight response but ultimately sat in one of the arm chairs, present, but separated from the events unfolding before him
