I meant to comment on yesterday's post - that was SO awful - a nightmare. Your boss was really terrific. I know plenty of bosses who would have just bitched about you being late, let alone go out of their way to help.
$403.68 to fix it! Gulp! That's a chunk out of this month's budget, anyway you look at it. Sounds like it will be pb&j for lunch until you get paid again, huh?
I didn't comment yesterday because it's been scribble scribble scribble lately. Now I'm done my part of the fic and have to wait for my partner to write her half. I need to put the pedal to the metal and work on some goals now, until the ball is back in my court.
Good luck tomorrow. You could use an uneventful day or two. FanSee
But the other Amanda is giving me the advance I need so I won't bounce my rent check or the repair check either.
The good thing is that before the car had broke, I'd gone to the grocery store and stocked up - so I've got plenty of food. Part of the reason I'd had to get an advance too. I mean, I wasn't forseeing having an additional $400 bill suddenly appear, ya know? lol
Though I might enjoy some pb&j just for the yummy of it. LOL
I don't even know how much it would take to keep my van filled... I only ever put $10-15 at a time in it cause I'm paranoid that if I fill it, the next day the prices will go down.
And my gripe wasn't so much about gas prices (though they make my soul weep), it was about my grandmother getting an SUV. I think, unless you've got a load of kids to haul around or something (and even then... my folks got on fine with regular old 4-door cars with me and my sisters!) SUVs are ridiculous and for a single person (especially an OLD single person!) with no bulky objects or large groups of people to haul around... it's just beyond silly. The extra gas money is just icing on the silliness cake, IMO. lol
