Have been reading student blogs at MIT's colourful but alas, still confusing website. (For all none of you who care, Brown thus far retains a significant lead in college sites whose layouts I can actually navigate, most of the time. You do realize that the concept of 11 o'clock papers would not be a plus to your application package.

Pfft. Homework past dark is a time-honoured tradition.

Anyway you're missing the point entirely - it was that they judge people for admission based on so very little. They don't actually know much about us, the good things or the bad, and I'm not sure whether that's lucky or not.

I do realize that grades aren't the full measure of who we are as people, but it isn't really avoidable. There's the occasional interview, if that helps. I don't know MIT's procedures, though.
