Unfortunately, humanity has failed us and it was necessary for this to be posted. According to the colloquialism, sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. But it is this same common knowledge that has produced such winners as "cheaters never prosper" and "dont rock the boat" which are both completely true (See above post for interpretation of that sentence). Sarcasm is often the best way to point out someone's faults to them, and it's invaluable to humor. Perhaps sarcasm is a higher form of wit than was thought.
