'previous 20 entries'

The sidebar on my LJ has suddenly changed from having a link to the 'previous 20 entries' to having a link to the 'previous 10 entries'.  Does anyone know why that is and whether I can change it back?  I had a quick look at LJ news but couldn't see any announcement.

Any advice gratefully received!

It happened to everyone, I think. I changed mine back using the 'customise' page, which you can (probably) see from your profile.

Thanks! I feel dense not working out if I could change it! But I've managed to change it back.

LJ's latest update made the default entries on journals and communities into 10 rather than 20. So if you didn't change your default then your default before was 20, and now your default is 10. They chose to do this so that it speeded up loading for the majority of people who didn't chose to change their default had speedier loading times.

My default was always 100 because I wanted it that way and mine hasn't changed so if you actively choose how many entries you want on a page, then I don't think that will be effected.

Okay, this is how utterly dense I am: I never even noticed the change! I mean, the change probably registered somewhere in my subconscious when I found myself having to hit the "previous" link more often than usual. However, I'm often behind with my flist, so I just assumed it was me... *g*

I only noticed the change today and I have no idea how long it's been since they brought it in! Thanks to the links other posters here have given me I've been able to change the default back to 20. :-)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't notice the change right away. *g* I think I'm going to change the default back to 20 myself because I'm getting kind of sick of having to click on those "previous 10 entries" and "next 10 entries" links so much.

It was in the latest news post, something to do with reducing the load time because of strain on the servers. You can change it back if you like, just go here and you can adjust it.

I am going to take some of my own advice and adjust the settings. Those 10 entries per page do not cut the mustard.
