inside my space unicorn backpack. I wonder if slightly less than 50% of the kids aren't just waiting for you to be distracted enough that they can steal that backpack! ;)
Creating a club for the club-snubbed was such a sweet idea.
It sounds as if Extreme Competence is your superpower. :D
I get a lot of compliments on the backpack, although when I put it down, it's often mistaken for a child's backpack (which, OK, it is).
My sister and her friends were so disappointed about being excluded from the club that I had to do something. Our club was much more organized, kind of like the Cub Scouts, where they earned stickers for the activities we did. Gosh, I'm such a dork.
I'm either extremely competent or I have a lot of people snowed!

This is so much like me. Sometimes I might dream or think about (fantasize isn't the right word) me running amok too, but I just can't imagine it'd do me any favours in the long run. The consequences aren't worth it.
It's so nice to be the 'hood mom. I know of what you speak! And enjoy enjoy enjoy because this time FLIES. (I know you ARE aware of this, but sometimes it bears repeating.) You're making memories for everyone, A, and that COUNTS!
For sure! I realize that when I look not only at KFP but at his friends, some of them nearly my height these days.
I think I inherited the Neighborhood Mom mantle from my Mom. All the kids were always welcome to hang out at our place and even stay for dinner! She told me later that she didn't mind because that way she knew what we were up to.
