Transitions and Tonic Water

Right now, I am drinking tonic water and orange juice, because my Dad, an osteopath, assures me it's good for Restless Leg Syndrome. Not because of the orange juice but because of the tonic water, which contains quinine, a remedy for RLS. The muscle on the back of your thigh is your hamstring, and it can be a little devil.

Stretching it out as much as possible helps (often, just bending from the waist and reaching downward will do it).

The thing that most often brings on those cramps and tightness apparently is dehydration, so drinking more water will help. If you can get it to loosen up, your back may also feel better.

Mine plague me, but especially the one on the right side. I can understand that when I'm running, because I'm sure my stride is a little unbalanced, but life itself? What's that all about? :(

Dehydration would explain a lot, come to think of it. It's been very hot here, and although I am trying to drink water, I believe my body actually requires more than is normally recommended. I like to joke that I am really an amphibian and should have a dish of water in the room that I can jump into.
