Act I

It's going to be fun typing this today, because I cut my left pinky pretty badly last night, rushing to make dinner. Never handle sharp knives when you're still recovering from Otakon!

On Friday, The Gryphon and I got up with enough time to grab some breakfast in the staff suite. I always enjoy chilling out in there and swapping stories with people ( Read more... )

Nice shots!

The lawyer gets mad at me when I take photos...

This is the first time I've actually gotten a picture of him. I think it's because he wasn't paying attention!

Heh...I THOUGHT I recognized the cousin!

The person being 'helped' by the cheshire cat is actually our NPC-GM who runs moogle mail. That's my big sister, Regan, who is tres-awesome. She's been to Ota almost as long as I have, and has been with the LARP 9 yrs. ^_^

It's likely they were consulting over something, or just catching up. ^_^ Dormouse is indeed helping a player, a vet-no-less, with a question. (I think she was one of the Sohma's from FB...can't remember which one.)

Considering the only times I was NOT LARP-GMing, were to get food and then to try and go to the Become a Ninja panel (*grrr, long story, filed a complaint*), I'm sad I didn't get to do much else or even get pics. I saw at one point an awesome Kakashi cosplayer, and I would've loved to have gotten a picture, and a hug. (Btw, the girl with metal arm is cosplaying Edward Elric, from Full Metal Alchemist. I think the two elaborate ones from the Artist's alley are Trinity Blood.)

Thanks for the info! I won't change it here, but I'll use it in the captions I'll put in the KodakGallery album I'll put together later for friends (I'll send you a link).

I always carry my camera with me so that I can pull it out when it's convenient. I'm hoping that by next year I'll have a camera that's even more compact and therefore even easier to tote with me.

I really need a new digital cam. My old one broke, and I've had to go with disposables, which I rarely get time to use anymore. Doesn't help that I'm one of the working poor, so yeah....

Recommendations for small, easy to use, compact, and not too expensive cameras? (I'm sort of camera-shy unless I'm obviously in a 'role', or in costume, but I like snapping shots.)

And you're very welcome for the info. I like knowing who more of these people are too! I've been to Ota (3days)for 10 years now, and unofficially helping LARP since '02, officially since '04. (In '97 I went one day, in '98 I went 2...so been coming to con since '97...wow, huh?)

Oh, I also suggest if you nickname Regan anything, that you go with either "The Moogle" or "The Postmaster" (relating to the year she was Sephiroth as moogle-postmaster in LARP). Both appropriate b/c in LARP, she runs our moogle-mail. (And a far better job she does of it than I do, even if it was both of our's brain-child.)

Her LJ btw is Hakainokami. Feel free to drop her a line, but let her know where you're from. ^_~

Hey, I actually like that shot of me! I usually don't like pictures taken by other people. Also I'm amused that I have two lawyers, a cell phone, and a radio surrounding me. It was a very busy weekend!

That's what I love about that picture. It was going to be my "president hard at work" pic, and then you looked up, smiled and waved.
