Actually, we have until 9 p.m. ET, I think, which means there's still 20 minutes. It seems, though, that every Thursday I'm pulling a "Broadcast News" and just barely getting the tape to the booth in time for it to play. :) It doesn't help when KFP starts demanding things like for me to push the coffee table aside and set up his wooden toy train set on the floor. Yes. Distraction. That's my world.

I like the flow of this! It is how my brain works too ^_^ it is kind of... floaty and lovely! even though it deals with the mundane. I like.

Thanks! I'm always trying to find the beautiful in the ordinary, so I'm glad it worked for you. I like that: "floaty and lovely." That's how the day felt.

I know this brain well. I really loved the whole of the first verse--the end felt perfect. The ground beef bit at the end of the second made me chuckle.

Thank you! I wanted to be careful not to "over-think" this one, and this approach felt the most natural for what I wanted to convey.
