Playwriting Through Improvisation

I mentioned briefly a couple weeks ago that I'm taking a class on "Playwriting through Improvisation." It's my first shot at play writing, and so far, it's going well. Maybe Lou gets worse and it forces Hex to pray. Maybe Lou dies and instead of feeling angry at God, or denying his existence, Hex feels peace for the first time as he is somehow able to accept that it's Lou's time to pass and is grateful for the three decades of friendship. Maybe he's not completely converted, but at least we see a glimmer of hope that Hex is able to cope in the aftermath of his friend's death.

I'm thinking of something along these lines, but since I want to leave the end of it open-ended, I don't think I'll have Lou die.
