More Tests on the Horizon

Oct 11, 2010 16:50

I spoke to the veterinarian about 15 minutes ago, to get an update on Una's tests from Saturday. At this point, I'm trying to be optimistic, but I'm taking her in tomorrow for more tests.

Una's test results. )

*sigh*

Although I'm not a dog person,
I can easily imagine how I'd feel if my cat and I were in a situation like this.

So I'm holding my thumbs and hoping for the best.

Thanks. She's a member of the family, and I'm worried for her. Hopefully, all will go well.

I will be thinking many good thoughts in Una's direction. And in yours while you wait for the tests and then for the results.

Thank you. I'm definitely going to give her plenty of TLC in the meantime.

Poor you. And poor Una. And poor all of you.

I really, really hope it's just a side effect of the ticks and easily treated. I'll be thinking of you.

As always - you have my deepest prayers & healing vibes.

Are you able to go to another vet to get a second opinion? There is no excuse for a rude or apathetic demeanor from the front desk staff. If the new vet isn't doing it for you, if anything about the guy gives you an oogey feeling - see if you can get a second opinion. /rant

And yes - the waiting sucks...

I think I have to second the vote for trying a different vet. Unlike my medical doctor, where I am limited to doctors that accept my medical plan, I am free to pick any vet I want, as it all comes out of my pocket.

I'm reluctant to switch her at this point. He seems to be a good diagnostician and is good with the dog. He just needs work with explaining things to laymen.
