Before I begin, let me just announce that Kung Fu Panda watched Sesame Street for the first time today and loved it. He watched a segment where Elmo goes camping, and they learn about words. He seemed greatly amused by the word "canteen."

On Saturday, The Gryphon threw a 40th birthday party for me, with the help of The Cousin and The White Rabbit ( Read more... )

I noticed it in an earlier post and thought maybe it was just rash or something, but does KFP really have a birthmark shaped like a V on his forehead? He looks like a little superhero!

Yes, he does have a storkbite birthmark. I had one, too, ironically: http://www.alycewilson.com/devil_baby.htm

He must be a superhero. He can fly (with assistance, of course), and he has a really strong Kung Fu action grip, plus a powerful kick.

As words go, "canteen" is kinda funny.

Especially when you've got a cute faerie puppet repeating it!

It looks like everyone had a great time. KFP is getting big! Hug now because they grow up so fast.

He can't get enough hugs. In fact, his onesie at the party said, "I love hugs."

Yeppers, I can see that everyone had a great time including KFP. And the theme was perfect of course. Smile!

When I saw that first shot of your birthday cake I could not tell how many candles were on the cate. I was thinking OMG, did they put 40 candles on that thing? The second or third photo of the cake fixed that. PHEW! The cake looked so good. Made me want a piece.

The Gryphon only used one small pack of twisty candles, thank goodness! I still couldn't blow them all out. The cake was very good. It was made by the bakery at our local Giant grocery store. I had discovered before when I got a cake there for The Gryphon that they did nice work. It was chocolate, of course!

Sucking his thumb? Could be teething. Or could just be a tasty thumb.

We believe he is teething, which would also explain the excessive drooling of late.
