Con Closing

On our final day at Otakon, Sunday a week ago, my staff and I spent part of it shutting down Press Ops until next year. We also had a handful of press conferences and interviews to run, of course.

Really sounds like you guys did a great job of balancing parenting and Otakon. KFP is one neat kid to get to experience all this great stuff as he grows up. Yay!

We're looking forward to next year, when he'll be better able to appreciate everything. We plan to each work part-time at the convention and take turns taking care of KFP. There's lots of stuff there for kids, and I think he'll love it!

I had such fun meeting KFP! And you let me hold him! *squeels in joy!* Seriously, that made me happy. I'm sad I don't get to interact with you and The Gryphon more at con, but I understand. I also wish I'd known you were alone earlier, or I'd have gone with the Dormouse. I, instead, was trying to be considerate and let others visit you too. *sheepish*

That said, I was glad to have you and the Gryphon at our table, before I went to play social butterfly and keep the Dormouse sane. (He did get some great pics of him posing with Mick's bust. And apparently the bust is a good conversationalist. ^^)

All of which is to say *HUGS!!!!* and hugs to KFP and the Gryphon.

I'm glad you got to meet him. I know you wanted to. So many people kept asking about him, but I couldn't have him with me during the busiest time of the day, which is morning and early afternoon in Press Relations. That seemed to be when I saw everyone at con! Some people I never did see. This was the first con where I didn't even stop in at LARP or Vid Ops, and fewer people came to visit me, because of our location in the Hilton.

Maybe I'll see you at the Wrap Up meeting?

I plan to be at Wrap-up, assuming I have off and know the date (21st yes? day before my bday ^^) correct.
We were in the Hilton too, and LARP was very near that, so I wish I'd known or I'd have tried to make time to come visit.

He was such a CUTIE! (No, I still don't want one of my own, but I like holding other people's.) It was funny sitting next to your husband too, like when he made me a shelf. As in, he made me be a shelf. ^^

It can be challenging juggling a baby. You learn to make use of whatever (or whoever) is near you. I'm so pleased that KFP seems to be a social little guy. Whenever we take him around to parties and social events, he seems to enjoy meeting new people.

Even if you'd stopped in, you wouldn't necessarily have seen me. I was only there about half the time and worked the other half from my room.
