I'd like to precede this post with a request. A friend of mine is looking for a good writing workshop for her husband. She'd like to sign him up as a Christmas present. They live in the Baltimore idea, and he writes abstract fiction. If you get any ideas, let me know!

That sounds like an *awesome* book!! Seriously, I see these books at the store that are all "How To Have A Beautiful Wedding For $10,000" and I just *flip*!! How hard can it possibly *be* to have a beautiful wedding for that kind of money, for heaven's sake.

My wedding with Abner cost about $2500, including the (one-night) honeymoon and the out-of-town guests dinner (which we didn't pay for). And it was lovely, it really was.

Everyone I've mentioned the book to has shown an interest in it, which makes me optimistic. How did you manage on $2,500? Was it a small wedding?

We had about 30 people, but neither Abner nor I wanted to get into that whole "We don't really want this person here, but we have to have them because we invited that person" crap
